The annual Pancakes for Hockey breakfast was held this past weekend. We want to put out a massive thank you to everyone that attended and worked. The breakfast was the largest yet for this annual fundraiser, and we believe it was the best attended breakfast at the lodge in many years overall.
Part of the work a Freemason does is to help better the community he is a part of. Many Masons are supporters of a wide variety of charitable endeavors. Our Lodge has for several years, as a group, worked to support special needs hockey as our charitable work. Special needs individuals are often looking for opportunities to partake in activities that are accepting of their uniqueness. And we want to help our community by helping a hockey team that gives these special individuals a worthwhile opportunity.
There will be other opportunities to assist the special needs hockey team along with the lodge in the future, as well as another breakfast next year.
